Strange browser behaviour

After I've found ;-) the library in the "my documents" root it contained directories for "Clips", "Sets" and "Waveforms".

Then I added directories named "Midi", "Sample Hits", "Presets" and "Lessons" with respective content. But Live only shows the first two of them!? "Presets" and "Lessons" are neglected...

Strange is, that they show up as soon as I move them as a subdirectory into another directory that works e.g. "/Clips/Lessons".

A bug? A feature? A Retard bane?

Hi,

The behaviour you observe is by design.

There is always one folder regarded as the root of Live's library,
(that can be set in Prefrences->Misc->Library)

This folder is the place where LivePacks are installed.

The 'Presets' sub-directory in the Library is accessed through
Live's Device-browser and not shown in the File browser.

The 'Lessons' sub-directory is accessed by Live's Lesson-Viewer
and does not show up in the File browser, too.

All other folders in the library are 'normal' folders (of course also
the ones you create in addition).

Kind regards, Friedemann
