Live 5.01 crashes when playing Live 4 files

I have a problem with Live 5.01 crashing while playing a Live 4 file. Its in session mode & whenever I click on a midi track that is controlling Simpler, the application unexpectantly quits. I don't notice any spikes in CPU but, the crash is almost immediate. Any similar experiences out there? I have a Mac G4 Powerbook 1.5 ghz processor, 512 meg of ram & OS 10.3.4.
