I have Halion installed in a track in Live 5. The problem I have is that I can't seem to route midi to any channel other than channel 1. I know I have midi coming in on other channels, becuase I can see the midi in the drop down midi input routing list, but it only ever seems to get routed to channel 1 on Halion.

Does anyone know of this problem?

This is now fixed, as I now realise that it is like this by design. Live 5 keeps things simple by only allowing one channel of midi per track. This keeps editing simple. This is sent out by default on channel 1.

To use another channel on the midi instrument such as Halion, you have to open another midi track, point the output to the desired midi instrument and then assign the channel number to a different channel on the midi instrument. This works fine and is so simple when you know how!!
