Hey all, just a quick query about whether the behringer bcr2000 works on windows ME machines? The website states XP, but it hasnt been updated post new firmware downloads etc. so im just curious if anyone here is successfully using it on a ME/98 machine?

Looking at hooking one up tomorrow if it does....im in no rush to upgrade my OS just yet!

bump....wonder if someone drops in today who knows the answer to this question, cos behringer sure seem reluctant to answer! I have no trouble sending data over usb with my radium 49, so im assuming the bcr would work just fine?

I would imagine if you have the USB patch for 98 installed it should work alright. But really, why are you running a box that still has 98 or ME on it?? At least get win2000 if you'd like to get a little more stable and productive...

Basically, because it's the best my poor student ass can afford at the moment....even though I am looking at new gear!

Thats why I was checking to see if anyone was using the bcr in usb mode on a windows 98/ME box. The behringer site is hell confusing, saying they dont support data over USB on older OS's, but then also saying you can use their editor program. Basically, I'm confused!

You can use the editor (a Java applet) across midi I think, so it doesn't need the USB driver to work
