Very reproduceable glitch in Live 5

I'm running 5.01 on a 2.4GHz P4 with a gig of RAM

When I load up a set consisting of audi clips and activate a clip everything seems to work fine. The first time i hit that track's mute/unmute button at the top of the mixerstrip I get a large GLIIIIIIITCH. Funny thing is - once it's got that glitch out of it's system I can mute/unmute tracks to my heart's content and it's unlikely to do it again.

My second source of glitching is less reproduceable. I will occasionally get a glitch when I use a send knob. In this particular set I'm sending to either ping pong delay or filter delay. The cpu meter is at less than 10% though!!

My set consists of three lots of 3 channels running into individual busses. Recently my set has consisted of lots of clips but I had exactly the same problems when there were very few clips in the set.

Ok... this glitch has just become less reproduceable.

One thing which is clear though is that the longer I go without deleting the preferences file, the glitchier live gets.

Once it gets bad, deleting prefs sorts it out for a bit.

It seems as if some junk is getting stored there.

I have spoken to other who have noticed this too.

This dropout also occurs here if I'm even touching the dry/wet control of the ping pong delay.. cpu jumps to 100%. Haven't tried if this happens with any of the other live's built-in wonders...
I really hope the consecutive versions of this GREAT program don't get any quirkier than what 5.0.1 is
