a drum machine, a keyboard and a bunch cables all over the place and I just had the best party in a little club in Shoreditch you could ever imagine. Just gotta remember to put the fucking virus scan off next time, started causing serious dropouts at exactly 2pm scheduled time...Fucksakes. But man that was fun, and I love this program!!!!!!!!

good times. Yeah definitely get rid of ANY scheduled tasks whatsoever, and unless you are plugged into the net and surfing while giggin, you can just kill all antivirus apps in the task manager (or quit out of them if allowed). Live is an awesomelu fun performance instrument.

not a bad idea to do a "start" "run" (then type) "msconfig" and disable all start up files that session.

just make sure to try it at home first to be sure that you aren't monkeying with anything that could mess up your audio. If you disable everything possible, you can get down to about 20 tasks in the processes tab of the task manager (give or take a few), but not much lower, as a number or these processes are essential to the OS and/or your soundcard.

Better to have separate OS partition for music, disable all network, wireless, 10-12 services and not more then 80 RAM default.
