the MIDI fuction of my iBook G4 (OS 10.3.9) stops working after i installed the driver for firewire m-audio 410. Live/Pro tools can no longer find the controller oxigen8. so i tried uninstalling the driver and Live could find it again...
does anyone can help?
it seems that this driver is conflicting with tfh MIDI fuction/enviroment of the computer because even the utility audio MIDI setup of the sistem is afected.

i had this same problem with my powerbook and firewire 410. It was a m-audios drivers were not working with apples software updates causing the problem of all of a sudden..no midi.

Do you have the latest driver from m-audio ? It should fix the problem.

Hi,

I've got the same proble on my Ibook G4 recently, when it works under mac IS X 10.3.9. The problem starts when the system downloaded the last Security Update, which make the Audio/MIDI setup corrupted. Let me explain you clearly :
In this update, there's an upgrade of the Core. In this area, the code is re-writting for the Audio/MIDI configuration Setup. If you open it, in the Utilities Folder, the audio setup works fine but... On the MIDI side, it's just crashing. I try to find and also inform Apple on the Forum but it seems that this is not their problem. You have to wait for a new Security Update or a new driver from M-Audio...
