I have a question. I went thru Djing with live tutorial andi thoguht it was a vey big help untill i loaded my own tracks. Its seems that when i load my own tracks and i want to DJ they dont match up at all. according to the tutorial even if the arent the same bpm ableton will analyze them and make them match. How come when i drop my mp3s into an audio track they wont match up. Any help would be great.
thanks

if you have live 5, autowarping tends to be spot on, but you need to move the first warp marker back to the beginning of the first beat. do this with a few tracks and try again, should be ok.

I have found that whilst the warping is very good, Ableton sometimes has a tendancy to place marker 1 after the first beat when using mp3's. MP3's leave an annoying silence at the beginning and end which you cant trim. Try zooming in and checking the markler 1 is right on the 1st beat. I also find that to get your tunes bang on you still need to do a little tweaking, but it depends on how anal you want to be.

I´m doing a Mix-CD at the moment as I´m a really bad DJ using Traktor.
I met the same issues using .mp3s. Takes a little time to fit them.
But my problem is the complex warp. Seems like i can´t use it on every track,
as it doen´t sound as good as needed.
Is there any way to use pitching instead of warping?
I mean like Traktor does it?
Cheers

Beware that for some people (and tracks) Autowarp in Live5 just doesn't work. It seems that results vary for different people.
I'd check that the track is warped correctly before trying to play it.
