Addicted to warpmarking

This may sound weird but I'm starting to get the urge to warp mark tracks ALL THE TIME.

The other day I sat down to start warp'ing all the music I intend to play and since then I've been thinking along the lines of "right after I finnish my current activity, I'll warp mark a few tracks" and when I finnish warp marking them I'll decide that "I'll just do one more"... And it gets worse, I'll be doing something completely unrelated and decide that "I should have a break and just warp mark a few more tracks" (and then more and more)

Now I know how all you smokers feel.

The plus side is I'm spending less time on the internet and actually getting tracks warp marked

I've got almost a thousand to get through and keep adding tracks!

I've learned a lot about song structure, etc, because I also set locators at the various sections (verse, bridge, hitpoints, etc) and make a spreadsheet worksheet for video, lighting, and remixing.

I know what you mean, though. And it's quite satisfying when autowarp does it first time! But even if I have to do it manually, I've got a quick and easy system.

Can't say that it's addictive, tho... it's just something I've got to get through.

Maybe you can get a patch or gum to help you get over it...

I'm addicted too.

Once I got the hang of warping, I really started to dig it and can blast through most tracks faster than realtime!

And it's true about really learning your material when you warp them. I know exactly what will loop well and how long the loops should be.

you should start a service for warpmarking other people's tracks.

seriously, it could be great for people who A) dont have the time, or B) don't "get" how warping works.

set up an FTP for uploads and downloads. you take their .mp3, warp it, and send them back the .asd that goes WITH the .mp3, and then you delete the .mp3 for legal reasons.

$1 per track.
it'd be an easy way to make $25/hr. ! (or more once you realize that Auto-Warp does alot of the work for you, just adjust the start point and a few markers here and there :P )

You'd have to charge for the download time as well :)

But the offer stands for anyone in Melbourne. If you want me to warp mark your stuff, drop me a pm :D

Just be sure to back up those .asd's - I spent a crapload of time warping a couple of weeks ago and then my external HD decided to stop responding (this can happen at any time with WinXP by the way). I just got my stuff back though, thanks to a lifesaving little app called File Scavenger.

Much as I'd got addicted to warping, I wasn't exactly thrilled at the thoughts of doing it all again...

Okay, on a serious note, I really do not have the time to warp my tracks, so....if somebody would warp my tracks, I would obviously pay you for your service.

Please, go on, make me happy!
