.mp3 import timing issues ...

i cant belive this one hasnt been brought up already (but a quick forum search and i didnt see anything obvious) ...
original drumloop .wav ...
converted to .mp3 using LAME codec ...
.mp3 version of loop imported into live 5 ...
hmmmnnn ...
... i KNOW this is an issue with .mp3 encoding adding the silence (which is why i use .ogg or .flac for audio if collaborating) rather than a live 5 bug per se ... but its something that could cause problems for live users ... especially when working with .mp3 drumloops ...
... i can see SOME difficulties in implementing this but what about an option to 'strip silence from start when importing / decoding .mp3' ???
