device group presets problem

Summary:

Bug/Feature #1: Changing Device Groups on a track removes all MIDI mappings on devices in the group. This happens on MIDI mappings to the root instrument, even if the root instrument on the new Group is the same as the instrument on the old group. The only way that the MIDI mappings will stay is if all the devices in the group are the same (same order too, I think).

Bug #2: This one is definitely a bug. When I drop a new device group on a track, it doesn't remember that I had certain devices disabled and re-enables them! This means all the devices in a group are always enabled when you drop in the group, even if they were disabled when the device group was saved.

Two joint features bugs are making it very hard to do what I'd like with my live setup:

What I'd like is to have one instrument in a track and have midi assignments to that instrument. Then, during my live set, I'd like to drop a new device group with the same instrument as a base into this track.

Bug #1 is stopping me from doing this unless I ensure that my device groups all have the same devices in them. This means that I have a device group with 10 or so devices in it (bad screen space usage!)

Bug #2 is stopping me from making all my presets with the same devices in them because, with 10 devices in the group, some of them are always disabled for a given preset.

On another note, Clips remember which devices were enabled and disabled in their device group when dropped on a track without current devices.

Anyway, this kinda sucks. I can understand why Bug/Feature #1 is around but #2 should definitely be fixed.

I have also noticed the loss of midimapping when inserting a devicegroup preset. (I just wish one could save midimappings with the device, but thats another story).

For example i have a simpler that I have mapped to 10 different midictrl's. When I change the preset into a devicegroup preset (for example a simpler including a chorus or whatever), the midictrl's are lost. But if I change the preset to a regular simpler preset it keeps the midimappings.
