Mackie C4 an Live 5

In my eyes the C4 would perfectly compliment live 5, I´ve a Logic Control and XT and I´m considering to buy a Mackie C4 for Logic, but it would be a heavy reason more if it was supported by live 5.
Accidently I can´t find any notes on that neither in the FAQ nor in the Mackie/Ableton MCU-Manual, which only specifies about the main unit and the XT.
So anybody a clue? javascript:emoticon('')
Thank You,
Darth

The C4 is very nice indeed for Logic Pro 7, but I wish it would be supported by Live 5, which it is not at the moment. Although instrument/plugin parameters can be adjusted on the Mackie Universal Control, the C4 will simply not connect directly beyond using the knobs through manual MIDI mapping. It's a shame but I guess the relatively few apps supporting the C4 is due to lack of a mass market of customers.

thanks carsten for your reply.
It´s hard to get information on that, so were did you get yours (that it´s not supported) did you figure it out yourself or so?
As far as I understood there´s a Mackie-Control-Protocol, which is getting more and more popular, e.g. see the new M-Audio Controller.
On the other hand there seem to be some difficulties when adopting it to different MCU-Hardware like the XT or the C4.
It´s truely a shame …
