Can't Open old sessions after upgrading to Live 5

Hey guys -
I did a clean install of Tiger and then bought Live 5 and installed a fresh copy. I copied my Live data (that I set aside so I could to a clean install) back to my computer and now, I cannot open the sessions within Live 5. To note, the last time these files were opened WAS in Live 4, but I didn't think that would make a difference?
Anyway, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

specifically, what error message do you get when it fails at opening them.
and if no error message, what exactly happens?

no error message, rather, the actual session is greyed out after I choose "open" within live and go to the location the session is stored.
I've also tried opening outside of live and the session file is just a "unix executable".....

Hi DLuv,
could you sent me this Live set (just the .als, no samples)?

Alex

Hey Alex -
Sure will - later tonight - as I'm not on my powerbook.
Thanks for your interest/assistance!

Hi DLuv,
the file you sent looks fine so far.
Do you mean with "grayed" that the clips are grayed when you open this Live set? Meaning that the corresponding audio files could not be found?
regards,
Alex

no when i'm in live and choose "open live set" - it doesn't recognize or "see" any .als files. Additionally, if I go to the actual location of the .als and try to double click, it says there is no default app. specified, which is fine, but when I try to choose Live as "the" application, it is greyed out and I cannot choose it.
So either way, something isn't right. hope that makes sense....

Hi DLuv,
the file you sent me does not contain a file extension. Please try if it behaves different when you add a ".als" extension to that file.

Alex
