so yeah
i've been using ableton live 4.1.2 for quite some time on my dell inspirion 5100 2.6 penitum 4, 512 ram laptop
about 2 years old, and after my most recent reformat (because c drive crashed) i've been having problem with abl
so yeah, clips have a bit of a pause wehn changing them, cpu usage goes up alot. truely abl lost it's live capabilitys.
i tried numerous things like custom start ups, that don't load unwanted stuff..
same problem.
also if i might add, i am using two controllers. alesis photon x25 and madio trigger finger.. but i doubt it has to do anything with that,
and in general my computer has been very weird/laggish after my reformat.
please can i have some help

I think so.
Also be sure to check latest drivers for graphic cards, sound cards or whatever.
avoid internet connection or be aware of spywares and such that could slow your system down.
when you do a CTRL SHIFT DEL in the processus, anything suspicious ?
that sort of thing
