In Track 1 play a clip.
Route Track 1 Audio To Track 2
In Track 2 play an empty audio clip with some mixer envelopes.
Et voilĂ : clips from Track 1 will play with envelopes of Track 2.
You can play 1 clip with many envelopes or many clips with the same envelope!
(Maybe someone said this already. In that case I'm sorry, i discovered it tonight)

Oh, my fantasy is going on, read this:
route all tracks in one track (call it "Track X").
Now play empty clips with envelopes in Track X.
BUM BADABUM! Track X act as a master (or return track) and you can change parameters on stage on an entire liveset (fade outs, ex presets, effects...) just adding empty clips with the desired envelope.

hehe, i've been doing that for a bit, but the one killer think i've found is that you cant turn FX on and off with clips in session view.
Like if that master track had a phaser and flanger on it, and you only wanted to hear one (and it didnt have a wet/dry knob), you wouldnt be able to turn it off dynnamically unless you assigned a key/midi to it. In arrange view you can, but not session. Other than that, its pretty sweet.

here's the old thread on it, with a tutorial file even!

it covers my bugbear .. yet again.
why can't we record the automation of fx parameters from external controllers in session? or even record the turning of the GUI dials?
The dummy clip method is fine if you can be bothered copying and pasting envelopes from arrangement.

Oh I scream and wail everytime I wonder this. I've asked it a ton of times, but no answer!

It's also fun to use dummy clip automation on live inputs.
I have it setup so I can jam a pallete of volume automation clips on the FX Sends, which is nice if you have delay on it and crank the feedback all the way!
