rom EXT Forum
Silicon/Silicium says we could record real time midi controller in session mode in Ableton Live with EXT
i translate :
"you put your vsti in EXT, EXT in VSTI on a midi trax on Live. you open live, you open your EXT synth, file-->CC map, you choose the parameter you want automation recorded, learn ( you have to check if the midi input of the vsti is linked in EXT, and midi signal flow in Live trax ) for the parameter, close energy XT, record the pattern in session mode, play some note, tweak the slider assigned to the controller, and tadammmm miracle, its recording the slider's move whereas Live can't do it in native mode
thanx sil

First Cache, I would like to thank you. This tip is amazing. F10- (return to arrangement aka STOP CLIPS!) is seriously dangerous...
I have something to add:
If you assign the F10 key to Spotlight> Show Spotlight Search Field it will never come up in fullscreen mdoe because you can't even see the Spotlight Window
Cache wrote:Here's my contribution:
Disabling The Dangerous F10 'Return To Arrangement' Button
============================================
To set this up:
Create a shortcut for the program, then right-click it to see the Properties and Shortcut Key field. Enter F10 for the shortcut and Click OK.
Any shortcuts made at the OS level take precedence over the shortcuts within the application level.
Enjoy the safety!

Hoffman2k,
Seems like the #1 trick on the list is still how to get to Ableton's homepage
