Different Live 'Profiles'

It would be nice to be able to boot up live in different environments. This is particularly so because I have a notebook and sometimes I don't bring all my gear with me... I sort of have a 'at home' and 'away' setup and it is a pain to have to change settings each time.

Maybe have a 'save prefs' button, and then allow for command line settings of the prefs, this way I could have an icon for any different live setting I could desire

we are currently in process of specifying a more convenient solution for swichtching between different soundcards / channel configurations without loosing channel assignemnts. at some point we will propably also have the ability for setting up different MIDI assignemts, but i cannot tell you when we find the time to do this.
