Thanks man!

That is bizarre stuff. Sure glad that it isn't an Apple-only thing.

Not sure how to play these links. I just get XML script when I click in them.

Cheers,
Gordon

WHAT'S A PODCAST ???

A 30 minute radio program you can put together yourself and post as a single mp3 file that folks can download or stream via something called an RSS feed. Most people listen to them on their iPods (thus the term PODcast).

It's like an audio version of a public access video station with you supplying all the content.

Some are free, some you have to subscribe to.

People are making podcasts of various interests or opinions they have. Some folks are even just taping their regular lives and making shows out of them, (yes there are folks out ther subscribing to the mundane going ons of other peoples lives).

Here are a few but you may want to do a google search on the term the get an even better idea of what they are & how to make um...

FROM EXPERIMEDIA PODCASTING FAQ

What is podcasting?

Podcasting is a way of publishing sound files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new audio files automatically. Podcasting is distinct from other types of audio content delivery because it uses the RSS protocol. This technique has enabled many producers to create self-published, syndicated radio shows.

Users subscribe to podcasts using "podcatching" software (also called "aggregator" software) which periodically checks for and downloads new content. It can then sync the content to the user's portable music player, hence the word combination of Apple's "iPod" and "broadcasting". Podcasting does not require an iPod, however; any digital audio player or computer with the appropriate software can play podcasts.
