Well i only have one question right now i'm compleatly new to this. I'm trying to use this first to replace my lexicon jamman. I have Ableton 5 and use the FCB1010 to control it. I'v figured out how to start the recording of a loop and then stop it and have it ocntinue to loop but what about if i want to erase that loop how do i program a pedal on the floor board to erase say the first loop in Audio 1 just incase i screw it up :-D

if you're using a mac, there's an application called "controlaid". it's free, and allows you to convert keystroke commands to midi messages. it's free, too. can't beat the price ;)

use midistroke for deleting clips. It works better for that.

Use controlAid (in addition) if you want to optimize your control over the FCB. It allows you to scale and invert midi messages, send as many as you want from one control (similar to midistroke) and setup a system of "relative" controls where the buttons on your FCB control the track that is currently selected.

So instead of having 8 buttons and 8 knobs to record enable different tracks and change the volume, you could have 1 button and 1 knob and then use your expression pedal, midistroke, or other knob (my favorite to use is the PowerMate) to change the currently selected channel. That knob and button will record enable and change the volume of whatever track is currently selected. You can still assign "absolute" controls as well.

Eventually I want to add the functionality of midiStoke into controlAid, but I'm working on too many things at once right now.

There has been deep discussion of this here..... People have posted huge step by step instructions......

Search the forum for "Deleting clip footswitch" and "delete footswitch".

Think that should bring them up.....
