Vst Automations ?

when i make a midi automation i have to record the clip in arrangment because in session view i can't record automation! the problem is that in arrangment the clip is automated, but if i consolidate it or just copy it and past in session view the automation doesn't exist!! how i can keep the automation in session view?

do the midi learn in the VSTi interface if it is possible, dont use Live's midi learn.
If you use the VSTi midi learn you can record the controller movements in session
It's stupid, but that's the way they want it for some reason

yes but i have the new virus ti, it's hardware/vst and i can't use that function because the hardare is just assigned for running with it's vst interface...

the strange thing is that if i record on arrangment view with the record top button it's ok! but is strange that if i copy that arrangment clip in session view i loose the automation!!

i have also tryed to record a midi clip in session view recieving midi signals from the clip automated in arrangment view...the clip records only the notes but not the controller automations! it's strange i think...

Many of my clips use vst automation, so I absolutely need it in session view. I almost can't believe this isn't possible

i'll contact support because i have tried the same thing with zeta and vanguard and controller automation in session view doesn't work... if i move mouse or controller when i record in arrangment view is it all right,the automations are perfect!! i copy the arrangment clip in session and i loose all automations!!...i remember that when i used clavia nord lead with ableton 4 the controller automations via midi were fine..strange!

i use mainly the arrangement window in Live so I've never run into this problem with looping an automation. keep us posted on what Tech Support says
