Little red dot !!

I seem to have aquired a little red dot on my tempo display. It seemed to appear just after I was messing with the tempo tap botton. Now, when I press play, the tempo has a life of it's own! I must have keyed in some tempo info but I dont know where to delete it. Can anyone help ?
Red Dot indicates recorded automation.

Wherever you see a red dot, it has recorded some automation, so it probably recorded your tempo changes and is playing them back.
If you click on the tempo window, and then go to one of the drop down menus at top (I can't remember which one, I'm at work right now), you should see a "delete automation" option.
Take a look in the online user manual too for automation clearing.
