Should I buy Albeton Live 5?

Post by Great1 » Sat Oct 15, 2005 5:00 pm

I'm thinking about buying Albeton Live 5. With all of the recent bugs and problems do you think it is worth it?

Thanks 1000x'sl for your honesty.
:D

Great 1

The bugs are not there for everyone. Live 5.02 is pretty stable. And if you encounter any bugs. Ableton will try their best to fix them.
Bugs may be relative to the system and setup you have.
Some people don't encounter any bugs at all. Very few have serious issues.
Live still isn't perfect. But no software ever is

Try out the demo if you still are doubtful. And if you buy it and find out that Live is not to your liking. It'll take you no more then a week to sell it to a friend or some other people who watched in amazement when they dropped by for a visit

I would definitely recommend tryin out the demo, and seein how stable it runs with your current system. And if you like it, and it runs fine, then go for it. I just got live myself (a week ago) and its really a great program. Like I said try the demo before you go and drop 4 bills and on a program (that you can't return.

No, don't buy Albeton 5-- accept no substitutes or cheap imitations: buy only genuine Ableton 5 (and demoing it to get an idea of how it runs on your system is a great idea).

I have used Live 4 only for 1 month or so, so I'm not an expert. Live 4 seemed lighter, indeed. But the new effects make Live 5 so much better. SATURATOR!!!, Beat repeat, Auto-pan, Arpeggiator, ... Also Freezing, how basic it may be right now.

Ableton Live 5 is fun!

BTW. You can check out all of the difference here... http://www.ableton.com/index.php?main=l ... -whats-new
