Runtime Error

All of the sudden, I started getting the MS Visual C++ Runtime Library Error, and Live 5.0.2 wont start. This it the only thing in my log file after the first two items:

158 ms. DirectDraw: Creating primary Surface : Metrics : 1280 x 1024 x 32

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

NM! Fixed it. Was a codec problem, presumably with a something quicktime related. Uninstalled this codec pack and all is well. Sorry to take up forum space :(

no, no excuse... this tip helped me... it was the aCE mega schrottpack...

:(

problem now is, which one is a better codec pack? all the ones i tried where crap too...

ok, i use now the k-lite codec pack, works with live ok. the rest seems ok too...

ill bump this - i had a quicktime error too - uninstalled quick time - ableton 5.0.1 opens first time...........damn you apple

ang when you try to re download quicktime the ywant you to have itunes too - gits

Quicktime for PC is rubbish! It's probably some conspiracy to make you think your PC is crap and buy an Apple!:D

Next time you upgrade your PC keep the old one and make it your Internet computer, keep the crap off your DAW.

I don't know what Apple think they are doing, why the hell would I want to install iTunes when I was asking for Quicktime?
Microsoft get slated for this kind of behaviour!
