Hey there.

Newbie here with a stupid question. I've been recording sound through my mic (mobile pre usb sound card) onto a Live track. The sound records and input signals are visible but I can't hear the recording on playback. When I apply the ping pong effect to the track I can then hear the recoring.

Any ideas what is causing this? I thought maybe I was recording in an incorrect format or low volume and ping pong happened to be an effect that helped but am not sure.

Appreciate any thoughts and promise the questions won't always be so dumb.

is it possible that you're recording on say the right channel only and you're only listening to the left channel? that would explain why adding the ping pong(which bounces back and forth) allows you to hear it

I'm sure it's got to be something very similar to that man...
