Is there any big difference between powerbook and ibook using simillar hardware specifications and using LIVE 5.
Or just top 5 reasons to chose one and not other.
Any help would be great.

The Powerbook have a faster hd, faster processor ...
If you can choose - take a powerbook.

but seriously, if they both have the same processing speed, I don't think it would mather much, especially not if you look at the prices...
you should also look how much ram both can pack...what the hdd speed/size is wich i/powerbooks are you refferring to? how old/processing speed etc? if you are a bit more specific I can help you better.

Good for you ! Just wanted to add that many here believe that firewire external drives work better than USB for audio...

did you push the 'buy button'? less than an hour between asking for shopping advice and the actual purchase!!!
then adding that the RME pcmcia soundcard is a great companion for the powerbook comes a bit too late.
nevertheless, for a mac, that seems a great price for the machine. have fun with it.
