Hi guys i am trying to get my mpc 1000 to sync with live5 I cannot get them to work together i went by the books and hooked them up right but its not working. I would start recording on the mpc and lives tempo would go all wack. I also tried to record my mpc sound as audio but couldn't get that to work either. I would also like to know if i can assign the impulse one shots to my mpc and play the drums on that. Thank you for reading -------DABBLE

Hey Dabble,
are you running Live as master or slave?
I have the MPC1000 & Live 5, and it works "ok" with live chasing the MPC but the otherway around it loses the plot.
I say "ok" because I havn't been able to get it to sync as tightly as I would like but it does work.

live always seems to keep a tighter clock as a midi slave

i also have an emu 0404 soundcard for my computer which is a compac presario with an amd 2600 processor. I thought i was running live as slave but everytime i go to record a drum beat in the mpc when i hit record the mpc goes to ext. Any help? also would it be easier to just record my drums as audio? And another thing can i play the impulse from a oxygen 8? If so how? and or could i play the impulse through the mpc? thank you dabble
