I am trying to Render my tracks and a mix to disk in live 5,but it is not working.

After i try the tracks i think i have rendered,nothing happens at all,there is no audio recorded whatsoever.

I'm obviously doing something totally wrong,i think it's got something to do with the master track,which cannot be set up properly.

I wonder if anyone has got any pointers on this for me,as it would be much
appreciated.

I was just having the same problem and JUST did a post ... then I clicked on "Normalize" after clicking on the "Render to Disk" and it solved the problem. I'm not really sure what I did, but it worked!

normalise is a way of bringing up all volume in a track relative to the highest peak I believe. you shouldn't have to use it to hear things in your song...

Are you selecting a rendering range in arrangement view before rendering? If you have a range selected you should see something like "rendering from 1.1.1 to x.x.x in the bottom of the rendering options window. "x" would be a fairly large number if you are rendering a track.

Not selecting the proper rendering range gave me trouble anyway.

it's still not working.

i'm sure its something to do with the master inputs and outputs channel and the channels on my soundcard.

i need to know which channel to select in the master so it hears all the audio when its being rendered and after.

i use an m audio delta 1010lt, with 10 ins/outs.

I had this problem for days and it made me nuts. I called technical support and you will not beleive what it is.

OK, I will share it with you so you all dont go insane like me. If you drag a file from the browser to the session area the little ARROW next to the track will be GREY. If you then render to disk, it creates a file (it even has a file size) but when you play the file it makes no sound and is empty that is what is driving us all insane.

The trick is to PLAY ENABLE the track first. If you start to play the track and then hit the STOP button on the master transport twice (2 times) the little ARROW will turn green. (PLAY ENABLED) then if you render to disk it works.

I have suggested that Ableton put this in the FAQ section becuase its making users nuts.

Have you recorded everything to arrangement view? if so then you need to highlite the length that you want to render.. Check your routings in the session view as well. Make sure all your tracks are routing out to master instead of out to your sound card.

live only renders what is coming out the master output

i am able to render tracks to disk now,which is great,but it is not rendering my whole track or complete song that is arranged from start to finish.

it is just rendering the tracks separately and they are recorded as loops
and just all play at once for the lenght of the arrangement.

how do i get it to render/record the whole song so all the parts/tracks come in at there arranged times etc, like the song should do.



The arrangement is selected from the beginning to the end,so it should work
