I have tried searching for this topic but found nothing.

So my question: I want to create a setup that provides ducking. What I understand by ducking is that in PA/DJ sense is that when every a live vocal is brought in then the level of the currently playing audio is reduced to permit the vocal to be heard. When the vocal stops then the audio level comes back up, when the vocal starts again , the audio track level is reduced.

This is often used in a PA setting - public announcement - effectively it makes the audio behave like a backing track whilst the announcer is talking.

I would have a setup whereby the audio is coming from Live and the live vocal is coming in from a MIC that can be entered on a track.
