I play around with all sorts of things in Live - I'm from a predominantly band-based background, mostly doing rock and metal. I've been using live to sketch out ideas with my bass and guitar, filling it out with drums programmed in Battery. Effectively it's just using live as a posh multitrack recorder, not really taking advantage of any of the live performance stuff (so far, anyway).

I'm also using it to try and learn different styles of composition - with an orchestral sample library, I'm trying to do writing for string & woodwind ensembles, while learning theory and orchestration. It's hard going, but again it doesn't really push live much in the process. It doesn't get in my way as much as Cubase did though, so I'm enjoying it a lot more :)

Typically it's sample-based hip-hop, but occasionally i'll feel an urge to do a synth-based track.

I provided music and dialouge for an experimental play before.

We pre-recorded all of the dialouge and ran it through a lot of effects processing, for the live play the actors just kind of did pantomime while I triggered the corresponding dialouge over an ambient background.

That was cool, I'd like to do more stuff like that.

I do all vocal loop based music. That's the best way to describe it. I've been doing this in some way or another since 98 or so. I used to record on cassette tapes, then I moved into ACID, and now I have found my official home with Live.

I also use Live to perform my music along with 2 mics and an Oxygen 8.

I too have used Live for Theatre Sound Design. It works brilliantly for that.
