I'm trying it out as I type....

Had a few audio and DVD player issues on the first few tries, but that disappeared.

Seems to work OK with Live 5.

Seems the same with Live. Working fine.

I think opening folders/browsing in the finder seems a little faster.

Anyone tried it with Live 4 though?

I'm too scared to for now .. way too much work to do in Live 4 and Logic Pro 6 week to risk it!

Maybe a braver man than I will ... 8O

what does this update do? Sometimes I do not update if it does not relate to my specs or needs. Many updates are just for certain issues or machines and machines I am not on yet.

These are major updates with over 500 bug fixes. They affect everyone and rarely cause any problems (like the security updates), so you'd be advised to get it.

On a mac forum, I monitored and saw tons of problems. Apparently w/ permissions, Safari etc...
I'm gonna wait til the end of the week. Don't wanna reinstall my system!

Just updated to 10.4.3 (live5.01, FW410 on a PB1.5) and everything
seems fine.

Start up took a long time and got the long list of widgets after
repairing permissions, but everything I've tried so far works OK.
(then again, everything was also working fine on 10.4.2)

so far so good with 10.4.3 and live 5.

it's making me nervous though. I don't like big changes like this they can be scarey.
