totally agree there needs to be a way of easily upping the octave - at the moment the pitch plugin is the quickest and therer is now so much in the plug-in menu it takes half an hour just to find it

Wow you're fast ! Morning or evening ???
No but true, pitch plug works well and takes no CPU, but still it's not always a solution....

not a problem with the plug-in - it'/s just finding it

but the solution may be more to do with simplifying the fx browsers

but for pitch I do think it's better if it can be done directly within reach

also guys, if you just want to octavize *part* of the recording, you won't have any luck with the pitch plugin

I'd like a way to modify notes in midi editor using midi keyboard (like in Cubase - midi icon).

Great & simple feature for changing melodies while retaining a pre-existing groove, make harmonies, build a bassline using drum pattern, play rythm first then notes etc ...

with a choice for retaining original pattern velocity or the one coming from live midi keyboard (like in Cubase - foot icon)

... more midi note editing & a midi fx for altering note length

well how do you define "won't have any luck"

I read it as "it's impossible"

that's all I'm saying

haha

if I wanted to "quickly transpose a note up an octave", I'd drag it there.

or I'd play the right note in the first place ;)
