quantize suggestion

hello,
played with demo a lot and i want to buy it.great job.I have both sp-808and su700 but Live beats'em.

the subject :

As i felt it the quantize in your view is the time between you hit the key and the time actually the clip is played. But while this works great in firing up clips, it sucks when you want to record different clips in real time like on a regular phrase sampler.

Live i think lacks a really quantize function like in yamaha su700 for example (btw i think that sampler was a great inspiration for you guys :-)),or like on a regular sequencer whatever it's soft or hardware.

what i want to do is to assign different clips to different keys, play them in real time and after that to choose the quantization.
i think both methods can coexist (one for firing clips and one for track recording)

this is my only suggestion, these days i'll pay a visit to my m-audio dealer..hehehe,

cheers

not sure what you exactly want but i recently found a bug which is in there since ever ( and i was surprised that no one did report it...) :

- recording a session clip allways starts with 1 bar quantisation regardless of the global quantisation settings. obviously this is not what you could expect and it is different from what the manual says. we will fix it as soon as possible. maybe this solves your problem too ?

quantize

yep, maybe i was a little unclear but played last night again with the demo and :

quantize in ableton is in fact a latency induced in playing the clip :1 bar,1/2, 1/8 etc. so if i want to quantize 1/16 and i play the clips i will hear a latency of 1/16 etc.

i just want to play the clips without quantize enabled (i choose to disable the quantise) to avoid the ableton quantize latency, i play them ,everything sounds ok but after that i need to quantize the clips like on a regular sequencer (steinberg, logic etc.)
i hope this is all clear now,
cheers
