From courseptr.com:
ISBN: 1-59200-975-1
Available on Nov 22, 2005 (400 pages)

Amazon.com says will ship in 11-14 days. Maybe someone has an advance copy already.

I hope it is better than the Live 4 Power book, which is not that much more than the Live manual written in a more chatty way. Funny that in a book titled "Ableton Live 4 Power!" the last chapter is titled "Live 4 Power". So what were the previous 300 pages for?

I thought Live 4 Power was worth it, did learn some things the manual was cryptic or silent about. For instance, a chapter in the new book which is clearer about Beat Repeat than the manual would be welcome. Monolake's movie about it was really good.

I was a little disappointed that someone felt necessary to shill Live 4 Power on Amazon though: if you look at the reviews, two of them were written on the same day by reviewers who only wrote that one review...smells fishy to me. (The first review seems legitimate.)

Heh, wasn't me... I do like the book actually. I just thought there could have been more original material.

I agree that some descriptions in the Live manual are rather terse, and require a lot of experimenting to get results. Which is of course somehow also the point.

What I really hope from the L5Power book is a chapter on sound design with Operator, but there probably isn't one... or is there?

i have the book right here on my desk
there are 24 pages on Operator, contained within the chapter on Live's Virtual Instruments (ch.9)

hope this helps.

Anyone know how to get this book in England? Just looked it up on amazon.co.uk and it says 5 to 6 weeks has no info about the book and even has a different title for it.
