PREVENT OVERWRITING AUTOMATION!

this is all in order to send midi to a hardware synth/drum machine have the audio come back in and automate vsts, like you would a softsynth.
"There“s no way to prevent overwriten automations, though." ~ableton
this should be changed,
i figured it out it takes 1 midi track and two audio tracks, The midi sends the signals to the hardware synth, Audio track 1 set the to monitor from auto and switch it to IN.
take the output of audio 1 and send it to audio 2. Automate all you vsts in audio 1, and record in audio track two. This prevents automations to be over written.
it shouldnt take 3 individual tracks to do this. there should be an easier way around this, considering not everyone uses softsynths.
