Anyone heard it yet? I was kinda dissapointed with Geogaddi. That song 1969 makes me wanna puke. For the most part it was pretty good and I'm glad I own it. I just feel that its missing that special something that Music has the Right to Children has. I heard Twoism at Other Music in NYC. I liked it but was only looking for the Coil album Loves Secret Domain. Maybe I'll grab the new BOC, Twoism, and the new Richie Hawtin all at once.
I feel like I buy cd's like DJ's buy records, its a never ending cycle and thats the beauty of it.

Hey suburban,
Yep mosca do not lie... guitartastic is what it is. I wouldn't say it's a revolutionary step forward for BOC but it is a superb album. Bits of it actually remind me of Cocteau Twins, which makes me happy. Wodja fink mosca? Is it East coast Scotland that makes it sound this way? Fumes from the oil refinery?
Yeah buy it.

Hmm... to each his own I guess. I thought it was their best one! The new one is pretty good too, but a step backwards in my book...

I still like it. But I always find myself reaching for Music has the.... first. I do enjoy it while do drinking and doing laundry

Just not as much as the previous album.

I like it a lot, but then again 1969 was my previous favorite BOC song too.

Lots of guitar on the new one....

it's a good sounding album, but it sounds like Boc. added a guitar here and there but just cause you stick feathers up your ass doesn't mean you're a chicken.

It's a beautiful record...but then, I like just about everything they've ever done (including 1969).

Check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed, IMO it's a stronger record than Geogaddi. As for the guitars, they're minimal but have been processed in the usual BoC style to sound kind of reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine - really nice.

I'm very interested to hear how they manipulate the guitars. I really like it when there are guitars on an album and you would not even think the sounds came from a guitar. I'll have to add this to Xmas want list.

i thought the new BOC was a bit underwhelming. good, but in a wallpaper sort of way. the only new thing is the guitar parts, but they arent that interesting IMO. i still like it ok, but i just done think its that different, i doubt BOC ever will be. i know its "their sound", but it might be good to twist that sound.

yeah they definetly don't appear to be evolving. but I like what I hear from them. a bit like wallpaper though I agree. it used to move me alot but then I guess I grew out of it.

sometimes you need to step backwards to step forwards.
why do we expect everything that an artist releases to be a masterpiece?
an artist somtimes needs to deconstruct themselves in order to find something new that they have inside of them and then construct a new world around that motif.
