Whats the best way to extract audio from Quicktime...

Use export to aiff/wav....or is that a qtpro-only feature?

pretty sure that is a pro feature.
i bought pro a few years back and its the best thing i could have done considering i work in media, recommend it for others too.

Use
soundflower and record with Live, or whatever sound editor you prefer.

Haven't tried it with Quicktime, but have tried it with other web based 'play only' applications: Simply plug the left and right audio outs on the soundcard to the left and right audio in, make sure Live monitor for the channel is set to 'off' (otherwise you'll get an infinite 'loop echo' effect going on) and then just record on a Live audio track.
Or am I missing something?

im pretty sure you can import Quicktime files into iTunes. - then you can just use the preferences menu to set what audio format you want to convert the sound to, and right click to convert.
