Lagging when changing between clips

I'm performing live with a band using Live 3.0.4 on Mac. The problem I'm having is when changing between clips my drummer is hearing a lag, like the bpm is slowing doen then speeding up again to catch up to the tempo its suppose to be in. i wonder if this only happens when I'm using midi controllers or if this is some other issue! Any ideas?[/b]
