Rewire - Logic and Impulse

I searched the forum before posting...
Looking to find out if - in Rewire mode - can I hear and utilize Impulse?
If it is possible to record and utilize Impulse while in "rewire" mode for Logic, what should my settings be? I can't seem to get it to work.
