How to create a overall uplifting effect.

Hello all.. how do you create a overall uplifting effect? I'm trying to use a nice effect for my entire mix, just make it nice sounding etc.

put a delay on the master, and just fiddle with the dry wet mix and feedback. Honestly, there is no easy way to get good and exciting effects going, but this one actually works for me every once in a while.

a bandpass filter sweeped noisegenerator with some delay before the drops can do magic

Yep, dramatical filter sweeps are a classical crowd pleaser. They should not be too long, neither too short.

yes:

two shall be the number of the bars counting; and the number of the counting shall be two.

four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count one, excepting that thou then proceedeth to two.

five is right out.

Yeah modulation from one Major key to another, like C to G to......

You'll see this all through the kinda stuff they do on Australian Idol or the
like, the singer will nail a note, then the band and them will modulate
together and things just keep getting bigger. When a progression gets
stale, or when a bridge isn't enough, a bunch of key modulation never
fails.

Or just go for the classic: raise everything by a tone towards the end of a track :wink:

Yeah sure.... One of the most basic key modulations is to the 5th.

C's 5th is G
G's 5th is D

C has no sharps flats, D only has 2 F# C#
Which don't get in the way too much....
F->F# (D's 3rd) gives a lot to the feel of the modulation sliding up....

Thus C -> D are 2 quite strongly related keys.

seriously now .. take any sustained audio clip (pad, wind transition) and place it where you want to lift ..

use the pitch transposition on the clip to create a ramp; the sound slides upwards: feed it into a reverb/delay and or filter effect to enhance this ... do it before modulation to a key change and it will have everybodies hair standing on end.

Thanks for the tips guys.. The filter sweeps interest me the most though for what I'm writing atm.

Is there any chance that someone could create a little .als file together demonstrating these "uplifting" / "crowd exciter" effects?
