BCF2000 & BCFview & Live 5 = crash?!

Hi!

First, i'm new to live and just want to drop in a "hello".

Second: I'm currently playing around with live because i want to change from samplitude to either acid pro or live 5.

I like the automation features of live, but here's my problem:
I use a behringer bcf2000 in Mackie Control Mode. BCFview is used to emulate the missing display. This works fine with Cubase and other MCU compatible apps, but if i use live 5, the behringer runs fine if i do basic operations, e.g. using the faders, panning, solo, mute.

If i switch to the return channels and select one of the effects with the behringer and start modifiying values with the controller, the behringer "hangs up" after a while: the display stops updating and changes from the behringer don't reflect to live. Automation from live to BCF2000 still works, the fader are still moving along with my track automation.

For me, this is an blocker, because i have to quit all apps and start them again. Unnacceptable if you're doing a life set ...

Does someone has an idea whats going wrong?

ciao, grfld

Okay, the i found a solution.

I use "huskervu" to instead of BCFview. This doesn't hang my bcf if the error happens, it just stops updating the upper line of the display.

workaround here without restarting live and huskervu: just rename one track and the display will be correct displayed)

(okay, next time i post this in the correct forum )

hi,

i also use huskervu and it seems that the fault of all this was the midi yoke drivers. i've tried with maple and sony midi router : all worked fine - refreshing display and so on till on selecting PAN, or any other option, midi ports hang and no more midi traffic.
i've uninstall all that mess, reinstall midiyoke and one more time this f@#!... display don't want to refresh correctly ...

sad sad day for me today !

This sounds interesting to me, because i only tried midi-yoke. I've looked for maple, but the sownload-server seems to be down. Is there an alternative download-option?
