Hi craig,
The Live browser on the left of your screen is where you can browse in order to find your itunes files. If you're on mac then open the folder
Macintosh HD>Users>"yourname">Music>iTunes
Inside that folder you'll find your iTunes collection of mp3s arranged by artist name in individual folders. Open the folder you want and drag the mp3 file into a clip slot. Now go and read the manual!
Have fun

you need to go into your itunes music folder and grab the actual mp3 files then drop those into live,

don't think so craig. You could re-import files into itunes in aiff format or compress them into mp3s (less disk space required). There must be some kinda batch processing software that could do the conversion but I don't know of it. Anybody?

If you have used your iTunes to import all your audio from cd, i think it is mp4 by default wich is not supported by Live.
On iTunes Preferences you may change the encoder to MP3 with your favorite settings. After that, all new imported (but not legaly buyed tracks from iTunes-store, they still copyrighted MP4) tracks will be MP3.
If you have changed this settings, just go to iTunes, select your tracks and then use the "convert to mp3" command. All selected tracks will be converted to MP3 with your previous chosen settings. No need to use an external programm.
After this, you simply drag your tracks from iTunes to the Live Arranger or Session-View. It works fine to me, because i have organized all my tracks with iTunes for years.

Aaah!
I forget something: iTunes will double the files, so you'll have the original MP4 and the new MP3 wich is located by default inside the iTunes/Music-Folder.
I simply select the previus converted MP4-files and then go to the "recently added" list (where you'll find your fresh MP3) and organize the new converted files to my playlists again.

(who don't owns a iPod but likes iTunes to organize his tracks)
