This is my full wishlist at this point. I'm repeating some things I've said before:

0) Find out what that 'poof' bug is, it's kind of scary.
1) Right click copy/paste of clips.
2) Leverage the 'lessons' feature by being able to pull up a text editor that takes a file name on the command line (same as one does with audio clips) and create text lyrics/notes/etc on the fly, then save them in the same manner the 'lessons' text gets saved, where the input is 'wrapped' with the correct Live-specific start/end markers.
3) Multiply cross faders. You would right click at the bottom of the session view, and select 'add xfade pair'-- C/D. E/F etc could be added. Limit it to whatever is prudent, 3 rows would be fine.
4) Scene level follow, just like clips, i.e. play this scene 4 times then increment to next.
5) More automated latency adjust.
6) "Expendable track" selections. Designate that at a give cpu threshold, it's ok to stop clips/mute a track. Also, to be able to assign MIDI failover signal upon pressing space: seems good for "got to kill the set, send a signal to something else to start playing while the sync is still there".
7) Send 'toggle' buttons for each send, a little dot in the middle of the knob, mebbe.

just saw this, sorry... yeh, there was a beeping noise and I woke up 2 days later thinking outside of the box with a multi-point goal oriented phased plan and small, clean incision on my arm.

so, how about 'extend'. Anyway, I have another wish that I just remembered that leverages nothing . A way to pre-load sets, to move from one to the other without running two instances of Live. It doesn't have to be heavyweight, just, like, allow the user to pick a scene or series of measures they want to preload.

i love the idea of adding text in the lessons view, they could probably add this super-easy.

I think you meant to write " it's just words" , or more likely "they are only words"

And I still wanna know about this mysterious poof bug!

The 'poof' bug is when Live just disappears-- no error, no warning, just terminates out to the OS: 'bye'.

When restarted, it will prompt to reclaim the set, but it's a little disconcerting when it happens. Actually, to claim it's a 'bug' is maybe premature, other external/environmental things may be involved, but it is a "phenomenon" that has occurred on several occasions and not just to me. It is rare and not readily reproducible.

One thing I will note is that it has not happened in 5.03 since I removed my prefs and re-did them , and that I went directly from 5.02 (where it was first noted) to 5.03, so my prefs were pulled into 5.03 from my 5.02 installation.

It's never happened to me live, in brief sessions. It seems to happen during prolonged use. Other symptoms, just prior to 'poof' is the Disk overload light coming on and staying on before the disappearance.

To expand on what I meant by 'send toggle button':

The send would be toggled off or on when the button was pressed.

Another toggle that might be very cool is a "SendsOnly/Master" toggle.

Tracks could have a settable property, "expendable". Tracks marked this way would have clips stopped per the clip quantize (to avoid just killing the track) and a global CPU threshold could be specified for doing this. At the point the threshold was reached, all clips in the tracks thus marked would be stopped. yeh, it is a little crazy, but if you are recording MIDI on the fly you can really lock it up fast.

Here are some more items:

1) An 'aural exciter'/vocal exciter effect.
2) Audio pitch shifter effect (yeh, i know it's been asked for).
3) A way to set by default drop in MIDI and Audio effects and MIDI instruments 'inactive', then activate.
4) More than one MIDI instrument (if you have to limit it, say, three or four) at a time "housed" in a MIDI track, but only *one* active at at time, and a way to toggle between A, B, C... etc. instrument.
5) I've thought that it would be neat to have MIDI 'send/return' tracks (is that possible?)

What I'd really like to do is to be able to reliably run multiple instances of Live. I can run two instances at once on my current system (see specs in sig), but weirdness happens when loading a set into one instance while playing the other: there is a brrrruuuup sort of glitch in the audio of the playing instance. At this point, just being able to have two sets loaded, one at the ready, is very cool, but to be able to load up one while the other is playing without hiccups would be great.
