cue lies within the master section if you apply anything to it it effects the whole project

take 2 seperate stereo outputs of your 1010 (i.e., 5/6 and 7/8), and patch them to the line inputs to your dj mixer. now take the stereo output of your mixer, and patch it to an available stereo input on your 1010 or mixing console or receiver.
now in Live, assign the outputs of your first audio channel to "ext. out" and 5/6. on your second audio channel, set the output to "ext. out" and 7/8.
now, not only will you have fader and eq controls via the dj mixer, but now you also have gain/trim levels to boost or cut the signal of each channel. it's like Live are the turntables.
that should take care of your cue problem now that you'll be able to just plug your phones into your dj mixer.

hey guys. i'm having trouble getting ableton to recognize that my SB Live! sound card has 2 stereo outputs (1/2 and 3/4 technically). when select SB Live! wave device as my input and output settings, then go to output config and try to assign the two outputs so that i can dj using my external mixer, i only see 1 and 2 (mono) and 1/2 (stereo). am i missing something?
thanks...

edit: p.s. i've been able to configure traktor dj studio to work with my external mixer without a problem...just fyi.

Have you got the asio driver selected in preferences ->audio?
A directx or MME driver only lets you use 1 stereo pair.
Hope that helps

my only option there is direct x/mme. no asio option to select...any ideas?
edit: ok i installed an asio driver (asio4all v2) just to test. went into live's preferences under audio and chose the asio driver. i then went to the output config and it still only lets me choose between 1 and 2 (mono) and 1/2 (stereo)...what gives?

fade without stops

Hi guys!
I'm trying to fade (ALv5.0.2), but i didn't make it without stops. e.g.: the first music's bpm is 130, the second is 110. Using AL with external mixer. My channels name is 110bpm and 130bpm. If i start the second music (with 110bpm), the first is stops. Not too humanic.
(Sorry my english language, not very well.)
