Maybe is a silly question but I've noticed that a plug-in such Filterscape use about 30% more CPU in Live than in Bidule with the same preset same midifile same everything.
I wonder why, it has to be so…

Hi rodcencko,
Do you have check that the plug-in is processing with the same plug-in buffer size? In Live you can set it up in the "Plug-In" section of Live's preferences if you refer to Live 5. I do not know where to set it up in bidule.

Thank you for tips .
Neither do I found a setting in Bidule for the Plug-in Buffer Size so I tried different sizes in Live and I found that 4096 was the size that could achieve the same CPU usage as Bidule (of course the same preset and the same midifile) But at the same time I've noticed another thing ,maybe that was depeding by how Live and Bidule show the CPU usage. Live with same preset and many short notes in the Midifile show a jumping CPU usage ( ex. 35% to 60%) while bidule showed always an almost constant value ( ex 47% with little percentage var.)
With an long note the value was constant for both

Hi rodcencko,
have you also checked that you use the same buffer size and sample rate for your audio interface in both applications? It is also possible that in bidule the Plug-in buffer size always depends on the buffer size for the audio interface.
