HI people how do get the compresion to be the last thing that the master runs into , i have draged a compresor onto the the master track ,but i notice the compresor is not affected by me moving the master volume up and , witch leads me to believe that the compresion takes place before the master chanel recives it , how can i make it that the compresion is the last thing that sound goes through , i wouold like it so that even if i turned the matser up the compresion would not let the volume go but the way it is just now i can move the master up and it get louder as the compresion is not controling it after master but before it ?

cheers

Hi,

The compressor is getting the sound before your master volume, that is the intended behaviour. To get your compressor working, you need to set the treshold lower, it is a little arrow on the side of the input meter (are you using live's compressor ?)

The master fader will always be last but if you want a volume control BEFORE the compressor you can use utility.
:D

utility ?

the reason i ask for it to be the last thing in line sound wise,, is because i am used to the matering sweat in reason were the mastering sweet is the last thing the sound goes into , so as i said, if you move the volume up on the master fader the compresion will control it , there is no problem getting the compresion to work in abelton i know the script with that , i am just used to the mstering sweet and compresion being the last thing in line,
