this has nothing to do with live, but there's a grip of oxygen users here, so i though i might ask. is there anyway to disconnect an oxygen 8 in 9.2.2 without crashing the system? every time i do it, the whole shebang freezes up.

Wow! where did "grip" come from? I thought the proper collective noun for a group of Oxygen8 users was a "twiddle"
Erm..... Sorry I don't know if its at all possible to not crash when disconnecting. I got so sick of it that I use the built-in MIDI on my Multiface and only use the USB MIDI on occasion when on lappy and headphones. I usually load a whole separate OMS setup document too. I have this feeling it creates less confusion for the software.... but that could be just superstition. Sorry not to answer your question Dirty, but I'd love to know too if it can be done without crashing...
cheers

I also have foung that the ox8 works best with the midi cable connected to a "real" midi interface
Basically agree with the people who do not trust those drivers..very buggy and not worth the effort especially if it makes thins not stable..I have to go old school on this one
regards and peace
