Loading huge set takes forever in Live 5.0.3b6 vs Live 4.1.4

I recorded a full jam using Live 4.1.4 in my studio that contains a bunch of huge wav files (about 1GB).

When I reload this set again in Live 4 it loads immediately but everytime I open it in Live 5.0.3b6 it takes forever to load all the samples.

When this happens, if you look at each clip in clip view it slowly draws the wave file as it is loading the clip and the GUI is really slugging when it does this. When you have about 10 clips that are over 100MB each this takes forever! It is as if it is decoding each clip, but these files aren't MP3s, they are 44.1 / 16 bit wav files

Why do sets like this load instantly in Live 4 but take forever in Live 5?

I have turned off warping, auto-warping, sample analysis, etc., etc.

I'm sure there must be something silly I'm missing here, please help me out!

Just another note about this:

If I reload this set in Live5, then save it in Live 5 format, then re-load again in Live 5 it still takes forever every single time I load the set.

IT seems like every single time I load this set it is re-analyzing the files or something. Why is it doing this?

okay seems like I figured out the problem

If I resave the set in the beta version and then reload it re-analyses every time, but if I resave in 5.0.2 and then reload it works..

which it does, iirc, to protect your set, so that a potentially buggy beta doesn't corrupt the analysis files?

yeah, that makes sense!

I wonder is there any way to turn off analysis files?

I tried turing off the analysis file option in preferences but it doesn't make a difference.

I have been using Live 4 in my basement studio to record and then transferring the live 4 sets over to a copy of Live 5 on my office PC for editing, effects and mastering...

I don't want to waste a license of Live 5 on the basement PC since that PC already does its job all fine with Live 4

But this means every time i copy a set from one version to the other it has to re-analyze files. This takes forever especially when I'm recording 2 hour long studio sessions.

If I am just recording unwarped audio files in Live 4 is it really necessary to analyze these when they are loaded in Live 5? And if it is, why would it take so long? There are no warp markers, they're just standard wav files, unwarped ????

Didn't try the last beta, but also noticed very long loading time with long clips in 5.02.
