Unable to export audio from a midi channel linked to a VSTi?

Ive got some midi channels setup that have midi clips triggering notes from various vsti's...

why is it when i go to export / render the clip i get a silent wav file?

the render / export option works fine when i try exporting audio from a midi channel linked to a simpler, but not when its linked to a vsti... cant see why this would not work, any clues?

Hi -

Be more specific, please. And try to do it with just one midi channel (track?) to one specified VSTi.
Are you saying that rendering audio works fine when you use the Live instruments but not others?

ive just tried it with a few other vsts and it seems i only have the problem with the vanguard vsti, has anyone else had this problem with vanguard?

You seem to be absolutely right.
For curiosity I downloaded the Vanguard demo, did a midi clip and rendered the set - the audio file was blank.

You should adress Ableton and/or reFX about this.
