5.03: Playback stops

Right, so had this twice with 03b5 or b6 when I was out DJing last friday, but it was hot and I was using my FireWire Solo so I just thought it was cos of this, but now it's happening every 20 odd bars (though not with regular intervals) using the built in audio on my iBook G4.

THE PROBLEM:

Playback will stop at random in the middle of a bar no events trigger this. The play button stays green but the counter stops moving. All meters fall to zero, as does CPU use. Stopping and restarting playback has no effect.

THE SOLUTION:

Reset the audio engine by going to the prefs and reselecting the interface; the moment I do this playback resumes if I didn't press the stop button, else Live will just go back to normal.

This happens so often that 5.03 is useless to me and the beta (which worked) has expired :(

I'm going to try junking prefs and see if that helps.

What I'm doing is playing back MP3s over two tracks. It will happen when one is playing by itself, or two on top of each otehr, seemingly unrelated.

I had it yesterday night, the audio was off all of sudden ( soundcard was OK just Live somehow lost the audio)
It must be something wrong with this version. Something like that never happened before, actually except the infamous crash while deleting midi track - some months/ versions ago I never had any crashes, problems with Live. Have to go back to previous version i suppose till the chaps fix it.

It is rewire issue in my case,
