hey folks,

got this problem for quite a long time now, and it was the same using fruityloops (before i was addicted to ableton).

when playing edirol super quartet everything is fine, it can be fully integrated into ableton but when i save my song and reopen it, everything is gone. i have to do every setting anew (within the super quartet vsti) . has anybody experienced this problem? i really like this instrument because it sounds very authentic but this bug drives me crazy.

anyone? thanks in advance.

best regards,
martin

Have you tried saving a Live Clip from the track and dragging it back in? Are there any ways to save presets within the plugin? And what did Edirol's support say?

yes, i tried saving clips - doesn't work. the problem lies within edirol i think. edirol told me, that i have to write the current msb/programm as midi automation and then it should be initially loaded...but i can't program msb/programchanges in ableton, as far as i see. or is this possible?

best regards,
martin

oh btw yes, there is a way saving everything in the plugin but everytime i open the song i would have to load the saved file within the plugin. as i am a very comfortable musician, it would be great if there's any possibility for the bankselect thing ;)

To send a program change message to the plugin:

Create a midi clip
In the clip view, select Bank, sub-Bank or Program from the drop-down menu in the Notes box.

You can then tirgger that empty clip to load up the proper program. Does that work?

works very well! the only thing which forces me to save the patch directly in edirol is the fact, that the parameters are directly assigned in edirol to any midi cc slot, so i would have to reassign everything anew. therefore i'll have to start up edirol every time :x

but good to know, thank you!
